WHY I DO WHAT I DO
I have always enjoyed helping people. The first segment of my career was spent as a research analyst at large investment banks like Piper Jaffray Companies and First Union Securities, where I advised mutual fund managers and other clients on which stocks to buy. These roles provided me valuable career education but I found that client's interests did not consistently come first at large Wall Street firms and further, client relationships were very short-term. I wanted to do something entrepreneurial that would use my skills to serve individual clients over the long-term.
After almost a decade in investment banking, I decided to form my own wealth management business, Westridge Wealth Strategies (WWS). WWS began by helping doctors, expanded to small business owners broadly, and finally grew to helping start-up employees and management of established companies. Now, WWS offers comprehensive wealth management services with extensive partnerships to address the needs of approximately 50 client families and counting. I am delighted that WWS is able to offer family office-caliber services, helping our clients toward prosperity and financial peace of mind.
Along the way, I have been featured in financial media such as The Wall Street Journal, CNBC.com, and The New York Times.
EDUCATION
I received my undergraduate degree from Claremont McKenna College, double-majoring in Economics and Psychology. I earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter and the CERTIFIED FINANCIALPLANNER™ (CFP®) credential.
