I have always enjoyed helping people. The first segment of my career was spent as a research analyst at investment banks like Piper Jaffray Companies and Roth Capital Partners, where I advised mutual fund managers and other clients on which stocks to buy. These roles provided me valuable career education but I found that client's interests did not consistently come first at large Wall Street firms and further, client relationships were very short-term. I wanted to do something entrepreneurial that would use my skills to serve individual clients over the long-term.
After almost a decade in investment banking, I decided to form my own wealth management business, Westridge Wealth Strategies (WWS). WWS began by helping doctors, expanded to small business owners broadly, and finally grew to helping start-up employees and management of established companies. Now, WWS offers comprehensive wealth management services with extensive partnerships to address the needs of approximately 50 client families and counting. I am delighted that WWS is able to offer family office-caliber services, helping our clients toward prosperity and financial peace of mind.
Along the way, I have been featured in financial media such as The Wall Street Journal, CNBC.com, and The New York Times.
EDUCATION
I received my undergraduate degree from Claremont McKenna College, double-majoring in Economics and Psychology. I earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter and the CERTIFIED FINANCIALPLANNER™ (CFP®) credential. Professional Designations Description
Between my institutional experience in investment banking with the CFA charter and my psychology education with experience coaching high-net worth individuals over decades, I am able to offer clients a unique perspective and service.
TEAM
Providing clients with the breadth of services required of Truly Integrated Wealth Management means having a strong and deep team. I believe in focusing on core competencies - sophisticated financial planning and helping clients solve their wealth management challenges - and then leveraging carefully chosen partners who are experts in their respective fields for the rest.
WWS is an independent wealth management boutique and partners with a national broker dealer as well as an institutional asset manager to provide comprehensive services for its clients. Employees in the home offices of DFPG Investments and Buckingham Strategic Partners are dedicated to WWS and work to implement a broad range of services. Building off of DFPG Investments and Buckingham's resources in areas such as investment, financial planning, pension, and insurance administration, WWS is able to maximize time working side-by-side with clients to help them solve their wealth management needs instead of focusing on back office operations or managing extensive staff.
I believe this approach allows us to provide a broader range of services to clients with greater quality, efficiency, and lower expense than if built and provided in-house. Most importantly, I am able to put my full attention where it belongs: on servicing the needs of clients.
